receiving RFE during 485 stage has become more of a common thing. Dont worry about it. Once you get the letter, prepare a response with the right evidence with the help of the attorney, and you should be fine.

Assuming that EB2 candidates don't have larger families than EB3 candidates this should even out:) I mean the proportion.
There should be a way to mention the no of Green Cards applied for in a family. I could vote as EB2 . but in my family I applied for 3. this count also should be captured right?

My employer needs to pay me back wages for 3 months from Dec-2008 to Feb-2009. I travelled to India in March and informed the employer about the same after reaching India. Now the employer have filed a civil case against me for contract dispute. Can I file a complaint against my employer in Department of Labor, to get back the pending wages till March from outside the country?
Please help, as we are in a difficult financial situation and I cannot pay the employer the amount he demands for contract dispute, if the court rules against me, unless he pays me my pendng wages.

If old priority date is not ported then send an email to ebupdate.tsc@dhs.gov(for texas service center) and request to use old priority date for your new application and ask them to interfile I-485. Google for 'I-485 interfiling request sample letter' and you'll find sample format letters. My interfiling request took just 1 week and I got CPO letter, waiting for the physical cards. Good luck.

Hi Everyone... sorry for cross posting. My original post was in other thread at http://immigrationvoice.org/forum/showpost.php?p=346646&postcount=37 but it seem to have got lost under radar and the thread title was kind of misnomer for my question.
Anyway, I have prepared my EAD renewal forms for paper file. i am not sure what documents to attach.
The official I 765 instruction seem to ask for only copy of previous EDS (Front+ back) and photographs.
Do i need to add anything other than this?
Top of the previous EAD mailers maybe?
Also, if I am sending forms for me and my wife in the same fedex envelop, can I combine the payment in one check or do I need to attach separate check for each application packet? Also, who do I write the checks to? USCIS form instruction mentions DHS, our sticky in this form says USCIS. I am not sure.
Do I just write A# on back of photographs or something else ? pencil/pen?
Due to lawfirm change /company merger situation I missed filing these earlier and am left with only 70 days on EAD so need to get this out today if possible.

If the Labor mentioned as a job location in NY...after we get the EAD..we cant move to Florida and work there..?
You are ok, if are on EAD and in AOS pending status.
I was referring to current job location BEFORE filing for I-485 application. A person can be out of H1 status if he/she is working on a location that is different from mentioned in the H1 LCA. This is something not many people are aware of.

Hello Friends,
My current AP expires on 2/18/11. My PD (EB-2) has been current since Sept 2010 but no sign of GC yet. I would like to renew my AP and have decided to file myself Vs using the attorney. Has anybody used the e-filing option OR is it better to send in a hard copy of the application.?
If somebody can kindly direct me to the appropriate links on IV for folks who have filed themselves - i would greatly appreciate that. Any advice on supporting documents, etc. would be really helpful.

the qn raised afew months ago was my friend who had this profile in this community..she gave me the link of the response, and also asked me to use her profile in future as she seldom use this community herself..in my situation, when we are going through lot of stress, i did not find time to create a new profile or update the current profile...i hope its not a major crime!!
today i checked the profile page, and i did not see anything relevant information that i can add (most of it is GC application related, which im not dong). the only thing i could do is remove the state of residence of my friend!
i cannot reveal my identity or share my personal information in a public forum other than my location which is India.

Dear Friend I totally agree with you. I was with one of these employers and have moved away from them. As suggested by some members you can report about these fraudulent activities to DOL. I know it is dufficult to leave these employers as they make the employees to sign bonds and try to capture all the money that they have acquired in PF etc back in the native country.
These employers are to be blamed for the current economy condition of this country and the condition of immigrants like us.
I know there are some members in this forum who will try to shout you down and make you quite.
But I feel if one believe in what is right then one should go ahead irrespective of what others think.
Now that you have left your abusive employer, would you mind disclosing your ex-employer information?

3) Lets say I move back to India after getting the green card, is it enough to simply enter the US once a year to keep my green card active? Can I apply for citizenship after 5 years of having the green card, even though I haven't resided in the US for those 5 years?

Can you give a single reason why not these guys shouldn't port or stick with their EB-2 priority date?
We should wish EB-3 dates also move and the guys get their GC before porting EB-3 to EB-2, otherwise EB-2 will retrogress (that�s the truth) and those are eligible to port will do it.
