By the way, I got my FP notice for 23-Nov, a day after Thanks Giving. It looks like the original place for which I got the FP notice seem to open on that day. Is it true for all centers? What I mean to say is if a ASC is open in one region on a very likely holiday, the other ASCs would not be closed on the same day just because its a smaller center, will they?
Since all ASCs are federal offices, so dates of closure and holidays should be same through out, shouldn't it? Unlike the post offices, some are open on Saturdays and some are not....you see where I am going with this?

Dont waste your time for FOIA. You will never got it. I have personally applied for FOIA one and half year back and yet to see any response. I really doubt I will ever get a copy of I-140.
In fact I have not seen or heard of anyone getting I-140 copy based on FOIA. Everyone just said they applied or should get the copy someday; that's it. May be you should just go ahead and apply anyway. It has to negative effect but do not plan anything based on it. Sounds like you already have a lawyer, follow their advice. It looks like the RFE is to ensure that you are directly working for the sponsoring company. A letter to that effect from your supervisor should suffice in this regard. I doubt this has anything to do with the OPT/e-Verify stuff you mentioned.

If I-140 is approved and priority date is current is it possible to keep on extending H1B for couple of years without applying for I-485? I am asking this quetion because my employer is not allowing me to apply for I-485 as my I-140 is pending. It looks like he want to use me for couple of years on H1b.

Can someone tell me about the final interview for the EB based GC process.
1) Does everyone get called for an interview or is it done on selected cases based on individual factors?
2) When is it generally done? Prior to approval of your 485 or prior to the issue of your visa(GC).
3) Why is it done and what kind of questions can one expect during the interview?

A couple acquaintances have gone through the process. Some Australians were given a lot of grief when the person accused them of coming from Antigua or some little Island. It was obviously a typo on their part--they have obvious Aussie accents. He accused them and accused them. They didn't give and the officer gave up. Officer 0, immigrants 1.
Another woman was asked if she's planning on staging a terrorist attack. (She's French.) She said something like "If I was, would I tell you?" and then had to wait an extra year as the officer said they were done. Officer 1, immigrants 0
Remember spouses birth dates, etc.
So even if they ask idiot questions, and they probably will, don't make any jokes or anything. Be firm, formal, and polite. Behave as you wish they would.

It was filed on Nov 9th and my HR got approval on Jan 5th.
EB3 and EB2 from same Company.
Do you have 3 years bachelors Or 4 years Bachelors + MS? I have 3 years bachelors and 8 years of experience with same employer and 15+ years experience in same field. Am I eligible to port from Eb3 to Eb2? How much is cost invloved approx?
