What if previous employer withdraws approved I140 after changing jobs? In my case it has been more than 180 days after approval of 140/485. Is the PD still portable?

Did you see approved on Jun 25th? In my case, I saw approved on Jun 28th and then pending on Jun 29th. My attorney received approval notice on Jun 28th. I dont know how to make sense of it.
What was the message in your case on Jun 26th? I am seeing that they received my application on Jun 29th and it is pending. It sounds strange.

Well.. we cannot reduce pdf size much by zipping as it is already compressed..

They say it takes 10-14 business days but my Wife got it within 7 business days. hope this helps.

Folks,
How are the taxi charges from Chennia airport to the town or station ? Do the drivers charge whatever they feel like or is it controlled?
My parents are leaving back from the US and will be landing in Chennai, they are not from Chennai....so not sure if I should try to book a taxi before hand...or the charges are controlled ? Also, do they have something like pre-paid taxi ?
The flight (emirates) lands at 3 or 4 am.
Also, any recomendations for Hotels ? Ideally near the railway station.

try agoda.com. I always book through them and cheaper than yatra and makemytrip. Sometimes agoda's price is higher than yatra so you have to compare. Just choose a hotel and then compare the price with these three websites. In the last 2 years I Booked hotels in chennai through agoda at least 6 times and everytime the price was atleast 500 to 1000 rs cheaper than other websites. I am talking about 3 and 4 stars.

I would just wait out the 6 months for AC21 to kick in, then go to work for a reputable company. There's no need to sign on with a dicey consulting shop once you've got your EAD and AC21 is in play.
Also, I believe the AC21 "same or similar job" constraint is more flexible than you're thinking. As long as you stay within the same o*net category (e.g., programmer or systems analyst or whatever), you should be fine. USCIS doesn't care whether you're a java programmer or a .net programmer. (But I am not a lawyer, you may want to clear any potential new job with a qualified attorney).

I didn't quiet get from your message whether the "08xxxxxxx" has an "A" preceding it. In all probabilty it should.
If it indeed has an "A". It is a A# so you might as well forget about deducing on a visa # being assigned based on the A# on the FP :)

Speaking at the event, Shilpa called for more focus on legal highly skilled immigration and urgent reform of the antiquated employment-based immigration system, adding that loss of talent to other countries was not in America�s interest. Ms. Ghodgaonkar observed � immigration debate included illegal immigration and H-1B quotas, but the issues faced by the legal educated foreign workers working in the US and seeking permanent residency were largely ignored.
Noting that 255,000 employment-based applications pending at the DOL (April 2006) and 170,000 to 230,000 applications pending at the USCIS translated into unconscionable delays, she elucidated the impact of bad bureaucracy on the lives of individuals: �During the long wait, highly skilled foreign workers are wary of buying homes, cannot accept promotions or change jobs for fear of losing their position in the green card queue � particularly because their job description is tied to the green card. Highly qualified doctors, scientists, engineers... etc. cannot utilize their skills to the fullest potential. Individuals cannot innovate and start companies that would create new jobs� lives are on hold. "The last time the quota for skilled immigrants was debated in congress was in 1990. That was 16 years ago," said Ms. Ghodgaonkar.
